Opal as Woodcutter, Peterborough, 2018 — (Opal) Jennifer Elchuk created, directed, and played a woodcutter who makes a deal with the devil in an adaptation of the French-Canadian folktale “The Flying Canoe.” It was a performance on an innovative circus apparatus — the aerial canoe — which she designed herself and was rigged to the roof of The Canadian Canoe Museum.
