Day 38. A secret handshake seals the deal, I think. The last time I remember showing a demo reel during a job interview was about twenty years ago. It was on a VHS cassette tape. I had put the Me Movie opener on it and the interview was with Jeff Rustia of FRONT. He immediately asked, “Did you know about our MeTV series?” No, I said. What is that?

Little did I know that I would be creating a few episodes in the near future. Could this little coincidence have sealed the deal? I thought twice about including it in the demo reel. I’m glad I eventually put it in. Synchronicities are like secret handshakes.

I just want to collect all the coincidences from my life and put them in a book. But the book would have to be nonlinear. Chapters would have to go unnumbered. There would have to be a way to randomize the order each time. Each connection the reader makes would have to be their own.

This is turning into something that it’s always meant to be. A hyperlink memoir/autobiography called Chapter Nowhere; a book that finds you.
