While at Om Reunion Project’s Solstice Festival in 2012, we had an opportunity to play with video projections in the natural environment with help from random festival-goers.

We were there to perform our choreographed video-mapping piece Revolutions. After the performance, I turned the projector outward so that it projected a throw across a dark empty field.

The images only became discernible when someone stood in the projection throw. So, we brought the circle screens to the field and danced. The effect was simple but astonishing.

Many spontaneously joined the fun. The video was just recently discovered; thanks to Wayne Elliott’s camera, this random event was recorded.

No visual effects were added to the video; music by aquapher replaces the original audio track; headphones recommended.
