This is a film about kindness.

A new nonfiction short by LA

A gay man finds reconciliation with his mother when he and his husband adopt a boy that he's training for circus school.

Supporting this project will help to heal the world.

Social circus saves kids lives. This film takes the side of inclusion and creating a world that works for all. Supporting a project that tells the story of an unconventional family helps the world by showing an alternate take on love and parenthood to challenge our social norms. This film sides with inclusion as we watch how some can “work out” their problems through circus.

This project increases representation and inclusion.

A tender alternative-parenting film that uses a classical narrative structure to explore the story of an at-risk-youth adopted by a gay circus coach and husband. Their impending command performance on the Cyr wheel — a redesigned stunt apparatus from the Nazi era — make son and coach very nervous.

About The Film

When Ethan came into their lives, Thomas and Michael fell in love all over again. Thomas is nervous about introducing their adoptive son Ethan to his mother Michelle, who is visiting Peterborough, Ontario from North Carolina. Ethan does not feel ready for the command circus performance scheduled later that night for Michelle. Michelle wants to meet Ethan’s bio-mom Tricia and have a chat.
