What is First-Person Cinema?
Thank you for receiving the Cinepoetics series so openly.
While the live study windows haven’t drawn many attendees, the response has been beautiful.
For now, I’m pausing the Zoom gatherings and focusing on new offerings, including a longer-form essay film that expands this field. Thank you for witnessing.

About the Course
What is First-Person Cinema? is a shared space for reflection, viewing, and discussion.
Together, we’ll explore how cinema becomes personal—how memory, body, voice, and image collide.
Each week, we’ll gather on Zoom for one hour.
We’ll screen short excerpts, I’ll share a brief reflection or video essay, and then we’ll hold space for discussion, quiet observation, or your own creative insights.
This is not a lecture. It’s not a critique space. It’s a study window—intimate, thoughtful, and gently rigorous.
You don’t need to be a filmmaker to join. Just bring curiosity and attention
